Territory and river relationship

M. Dore, D. Ruiu
The water system in the Rimouski’s territory is rich for the presence of many secondary rivers, lake and irrigation ditches that build a particular landscape. It’s very difficult to find the city’s center and there aren’t people walking around. The urban public spaces are the roads and the parking, but there’s a particular sensibility for the natural system. Along the coastline there are the National park of the Le Bic and the Jardin de Mètis, but there isn’t any relationship among these important parts of the territory. The road is the most important communication way and it runs along the river. The road that cuts in two parts the territory denies the relationship between the territory and the river.
